My name is Jeremy Neilson. As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I developed a love for God from an early age and have felt His presence throughout my life. The Lord has blessed me with a love for gospel study and I consider myself a student of Jesus Christ. Writing about the things the Lord teaches me is both a joy and a powerful way to deepen my understanding. This blog is simply a place where I record and share those reflections.
My journey with the Lord has been shaped by a variety of experiences, such as serving a mission in Sydney, Australia, teaching Gospel Doctrine, and serving as an Elders Quorum President and as a counselor in a Bishopric. Christ has also blessed me with a love for learning the gospel through the teachings of modern-day Apostles. I particularly enjoy learning from President Russell M. Nelson, Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, President Dallin H. Oaks, and Elder Neal A. Maxwell, whose teachings have had a powerful influence on my discipleship.
Alongside my Latter-day Saint foundation, I’ve been blessed by Christ with a deep appreciation for Christian theology and a desire to broaden my understanding through study across various Christian traditions. I hold a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Third Millennium Ministries and have earned three diplomas from Christian Leaders Institute: a Diploma of Ministry, a Commissioned Pastoral Diploma, and a Diploma of Divinity. I’ve also received awards in pastoral care, prayer, and Bible interpretation.
At the heart of my theology is the principle of covenant unity with Christ. I emphasize the doctrines of justification and sanctification by His grace, and affirm that true discipleship is marked by our inward transformation, not by performance-based religion. I believe that every sincere follower of Christ, no matter where they are on their path, is invited into a personal and transformative relationship with Jesus.
This blog is both a personal record and an offering. Writing helps me deepen my understanding of the gospel, preserve lessons for future generations, and share the things which Christ teaches me as He directs. My prayer is that anyone who reads these writings finds joy, hope, and a closer connection to Jesus Christ. He is the Master Teacher. He lives, loves us perfectly, and eagerly awaits our reaching toward Him.
